Henan's Industrial Value-Added Output Rises 7.5% in Jan-July; High-Tech Manufacturing Up 26.1%
From January to July 2026, Henan Province's value-added output of industrial enterprises above designated size grew 7.5% year on year. High-tech manufacturing surged 26.1%, contributing 38.3% to provincial industrial growth, while strategic emerging industries rose 12.6% with a 40.7% contribution. Key products like lithium-ion batteries and new energy vehicles posted strong gains. In July alone, industrial value-added output increased 6.8%.
From January to July 2026, the value-added output of industrial enterprises above designated size in Henan Province increased by 7.5% year on year. By the three major categories, the value-added output of mining grew 3.9%, manufacturing rose 9.3%, while the production and supply of electricity, heat, gas, and water declined 1.6%.
By product, output of lithium-ion batteries, new energy vehicles, service robots, and electronic components grew 101.3%, 32.9%, 13.6%, and 11.8%, respectively. The value-added output of high-tech manufacturing and strategic emerging industries increased 26.1% and 12.6%, contributing 38.3% and 40.7% to the province's above-scale industrial growth, respectively.
The value-added output of leading industries rose 11.5%, with the electronic information industry and the automobile and parts industry growing 28.0% and 11.2%, respectively. In July, the value-added output of industrial enterprises above designated size increased 6.8%.
