Shenzhen's municipal authorities have issued a plan to develop new quality productive forces and cultivate strategic emerging industries and future industries. By 2030, the city aims for the value-added of strategic emerging industries to reach RMB 2.3 trillion, accounting for 45% of its gross domestic product, with advanced manufacturing as the backbone of a modern industrial system.
The General Office of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the General Office of the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government recently issued the Implementation Plan on Accelerating the Development of New Quality Productive Forces and Further Cultivating and Strengthening Strategic Emerging Industry Clusters and Future Industries. The plan sets out that by 2030, the city's strategic emerging industry clusters will have grown stronger, future industries will have taken shape, technological and industrial innovation will be deeply integrated, manufacturing will have accelerated its transformation toward high-end, intelligent, and green development, and the modern industrial system with advanced manufacturing as its backbone will have achieved notable results. The target for the value-added of strategic emerging industries is RMB 2.3 trillion, representing 45% of the city's gross domestic product.
