Aito Dealer Contracts to Shift from Huawei Terminal to Seres Automotive in September 2026
Aito has notified all authorized dealers that from September 16, 2026, their cooperation agreements will be signed with Seres Automotive instead of Huawei Terminal. The change has raised owner concerns over quality control, after-sales leadership and resale value. Seres vice president Kang Bo announced a full service-system upgrade and the relaunch of Aito Grand Hotel services, including free off-peak car washing, free windshield washer fluid and in-store dining.
The Aito brand has issued a formal notice to all authorized dealers stating that, effective September 16, 2026, the signing entity for their cooperation agreements will change from Huawei Terminal to Seres Automotive. Previously, both HarmonyOS Smart Mobility and Aito said in public statements that existing rights and interests of current users would not change.
After the change of operating entity became public, users raised questions in the official community about who would lead quality control and the after-sales system for Aito products, and about Huawei's role in Aito's operations. Some users who had placed orders but not yet taken delivery also raised questions in the official community about delivery and after-sales arrangements.
Kang Bo, a director and vice president of Seres Group, said in a post that the Aito service system was being comprehensively upgraded. The HarmonyOS Smart Mobility Grand Hotel support services, previously cancelled due to operating costs, were formally relaunched under the name Aito Grand Hotel, offering visiting users free off-peak car washing, free windshield washer fluid and in-store dining services. Aito models include the M9 and M8, among others.
