China Issues Policy to Boost Traditional Industries, Targets 50 Billion-RMB Leaders by 2028
Six Chinese government departments, including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, issued guidelines to develop historic classic industries such as silk, tea, porcelain, traditional Chinese medicine, brewing, arts and crafts, and the four treasures of the study. The policy, the first systemic framework for these sectors, aims by 2028 to cultivate 50 leading enterprises with revenue of RMB 10 billion each, shape 100 Chinese consumer brands, and build several RMB 100 billion-scale clusters. After an international standard was published, the average export price of lingzhi rose 107% and export value grew 285% year on year.
